How prices work

Prices come from drivers at the pump — or from Google when nobody has reported yet. Colours tell you how much to trust them:

  • Fresh — reported in the last 24 hours (yellow price tag)
  • Recent — within the last week
  • Old — more than a week; shown struck through
  • No reports — station is listed but nobody has reported yet

Where no driver has reported in the last week, we show Google’s fuel-price data instead, labelled Google price. A driver report always takes over once someone confirms at the pump. Opening hours and the “At this station” icons (restroom, coffee, tap-to-pay, accessible) also come from Google — Powered by Google.

Prices that are wildly different from recent reports are saved but marked unverified until someone else confirms. Anyone can flag a report that looks wrong; two flags hide it.

Always verify at the pump. Prices change and mistakes happen.

Privacy

Your location is used on your device to find nearby stations and is sent to our server only as the centre of a search. It is never stored or shared. Reports show a short display name (like “Brian P.”), never your email. Photos are stripped of GPS metadata before they are saved.
